E.D. Heritage Week








As part of the East Dunbartonshire Heritage Week, Paul Carter, one of our members, will be leading an Explore the Canal Walk between Townhead Canal Bridge via Southbank Marina and Hillhead Basin. Meet at Townhead Canal Bridge, Kirkintilloch at 10.30am. Walk will be about 2 hours.

Heritage Walk - Roman Fort




Explore Bar Hill Roman Fort, Miners and Five Fingers walk. Meet Paul carter at the Twechar Healthy Living Centre, St John's Way, Twechar, G65 9TA at 10.30am. Boots advised and walk is about 5km(3miles) with 100m ascent and last about 2 hours.

Winter Talk 7.30pm Southbank Marina.



 The second winter talk for 2017 takes place with Andy Carnduff, speaking to us about - "Where does it  go?".  Tea and coffee will be available before the talk so please come early.

Training Nights commence 7.30pm.


Our Society Crew Training Nights will begin on Wednesday 19 April 2017 at our mooring at Glasgow Road Bridge, Kirkintilloch. New member/.volunteers are always welcome. Come along and learn how to steer a canal boat full of passengers.

Members Social Evening on board our boat 


    The first of our Wednesday Social nights for members will be on Wednesday 3 May 2017 at 7.30pm. These social nights will continue on the first Wednesday of each month until September. 


Saturday Boat Trips for 2017 ------ watch this space.

Our well liked Boat Trips from The Stables to Kirkintilloch, Townhead Bridge will start again in 2017.  PLEASE CHECK OUR "NEWS" PAGE FOR UPDATES.
We apologise that some Saturdays the trips cannot run due to our commitments to use our boats for other events and we have a limited number of Volunteers to sail the boats.
Please watch for our notice boards being displayed on the day we are sailing.
These trips will finish at the end of August.
