Special Winter Talk

  

 

 

Our 1st Winter Talk for 2019 will be on Thursday 28th February 2019 and will take place at Kirkintilloch Town Hall and will be open to non members. The event will have 4 speakers who will speak on canal history, electric boats, the canal college and the history of a Clyde passenger ferry now a Craft Boat on the canal. Doors open at 6.30p.m. for 7.00p.m.

History Week Walk. 

 

     On Saturday 2 March 2019, as part of Local History Week, Paul Carter will lead a walk leaving from Townhead Bridge, Kirkintilloch at 10.30am. Listed as "Canal and Foundries" it will be a circular walk taking in the canal towpath.

Winter Talk 

 

  Our March Winter Talk will take place on Thursday 28 March 2019 at 7.30pm at our office in Southbank Marina, Kirkintilloch. Further information to follow

Members Social Night .

 

 

Our Wednesday Social Night in 2019 will be our monthly Members and Friends Social Night on the boat. Meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at our mooring opposite the Stables at 7.30pm for a social sail and chat with other members. Tea and Coffee will be available as usual. Commencement date yet to be agreed

Training Nights commence.          

 

 

 

 Our Crew Training Nights for the Society Volunteers will begin on our usual on Wednesday 17 April 2019 at 7.30pm at our mooring at Glasgow Road Bridge, Kirkintilloch. New members/volunteers are always welcome. Come along and learn how to steer a canal boat full of passengers.

Our well liked Boat Trips from The Stables to Kirkintilloch, Townhead Bridge.                                                         PLEASE CHECK OUR "NEWS" PAGE FOR UPDATES.
We apologise that some Saturdays the trips cannot run due to our commitments to use our boats for other events and we have a limited number of Volunteers to sail the boats.
Please watch for our notice boards being displayed on the day we are sailing.
